• To disciple and train singers to encourage a more spiritual worship in the Body of Christ.

 • To enhance the ministry of God's word to the congregation.
 • To allow God's spirit to flow through us, and not be restricted by our lack of talent.
 • To increase Bible study through musical interpretation of Bible passages.
 • To attract non believers through music and fellowship.

• Individual examination and consultation
• Suggested study emphasis for each student

Week 2 –
• Diaphragmatic exercises
• Breathing exercises
• Note connection with the diaphragm
• How and why to warm-up the voice
• Review worship song of choice for each
student

Week 3 –
• Review of breathing exercises
• The hard & soft pallet
• The vocal effects, nasal tones and throat
• The relevance between pitch and support
• Connecting the diaphragm, pallet & notes

Week 4 –
• Connecting all the elements of the voice
• Interactive demonstration of power singing
• Vocal phrasing and timing
• Brief overview of rhythm and time
• Write from or copy scripture for voice
practice and worship, (no more than 60
words, suggest book of Psalms).
• Make 3 copies of the text and bring to next
lesson, give copies to coordinator at beginning
of lesson 5, do not put your name on the lyrics

Week 5 –
• Intro to head voice and falsetto
• How high is the pallet voice
• Your vocal range
• The vocal bridge and how to cross it
• Melody memory
• Interactive singing to chosen lyrics

Week 6 –
• Basic overview of the course
• Each student will be encouraged to sing a song
of choice, taken from lesson 2.
• An evaluation of each performance, strength
and weaknesses
• A choice of songs will be re-sung by selected
students in different styles

Anyone missing a session, can either obtain a cassette and relevant paperwork from that session, or attend the following 6 week course on the lesson missed.
